Representatives from various organisations including INGOs, Local NGOs, CBOs, Private sector and Line Ministries from Education sector and Health sector thronged at World Vision Zimbabwe National office to participate in the Evidence and Learning Day. The Education Coalition of Zimbabwe (ECOZI) was privileged to be part of the proceedings. The event was a great platform to reflect, build on existing opportunities and strengthen sharing/utilization of evidence of impact. Mr Matsive, the National Coordinator took his time to visit the stands where exhibitions were taking place. Impressed by the Improving Gender Attitudes, Transition and Education Outcomes (IGATE) exhibition stand, everyone was stunned by the work that World Vision has done to enhance children’s reading skills through its community reading corner and distributing ICT in schools. In addition, ECOZI as an organisation which believes in the cultivation of life skills through its Life Skills thematic committee, the National Coordinator also visited exhibition stands where he got encouraging insights on how life skills such as grains cultivation, horticulture, dressmaking, poultry farming, piggery etc are positively impacting communities and improving livelihoods. One may not conclude without mentioning the impact of World Vision’s work on the girl child through its programming work centred on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights Education.
